Christina and James run really far
We will run far - but in Kenya. Please donate so our injuries mean something.

My story
On the 25 June 2022, James and I will be attempting to run the Lewa Safaricom Marathon to help raise vital funds for Tusk for a range of wildlife conservation projects, schools, clinics and community programmes across Kenya.
These projects now face perhaps their greatest challenge to date – mounting a recovery plan in the face of social and economic crises. The Covid-19 pandemic’s harsh legacy will continue for many years to come. Both the 2020 and 2021 races were cancelled in Kenya – leaving communities even more vulnerable than before.
Running a marathon on an African wildlife conservancy presents some unique challenges. Each year participants share the reserve with several large African predators including lion, leopard, hyena and wild dog. Not only that, but we will be dealing with 5000ft elevation, 30 degree heat and rolling hills. We may die. Combine that with an unconventional training plan of thinking about running for 3 months and then panic training for the 2 months before, it is sure to be a challenge.
Your donation will help Tusk to continue to fund progressive
conservation initiatives across Africa and make sure that our inevitable injury or death is not in vain. Please give generously!
